Once you’ve submitted your Purchase Order for a Forest River bus through Crestline, you’re entering the final stages of securing a fully customized vehicle tailored to your specific needs. From this point, Crestline takes over to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient process from production to delivery. By working closely with the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the Service Centre, Crestline oversees every step to guarantee that your bus is built, inspected, and delivered to the highest standards. Here’s an overview of what happens after you place your PO, so you know exactly what to expect as your bus progresses through the final stages of its journey to you.
PO Confirmation: Crestline sends the PO to the OEM to confirm that the submitted quote for your bus is accepted.
Production Scheduling: Once the OEM receives the PO, they will schedule your bus for production. This assumes that the chassis from Crestline’s team has already been delivered to the OEM’s yard. If not, the production will wait until the chassis arrives.
Production Status Report: The OEM will add your recently ordered bus to the ‘Production Status Report,’ which includes the start and completion dates as well as an assigned OEM number. Crestline receives this report weekly to stay updated.
Schedule Alignment: Crestline updates its internal production schedule to align with the OEM’s report, ensuring everything stays on track.
Bus Completion Notification: Once the bus is completed, the OEM will notify Crestline via email. This notification includes the necessary documents for importing the bus.
Delivery Arrangements: Crestline processes the payment and arranges either a driver or truck to pick up the bus from the OEM and deliver it to the Service Centre. Crestline also coordinates with the Service Centre regarding the bus and parts ETA, any work required, and the target completion date.
Service Coordination: Crestline will continue to work with the Service Centre until the bus is fully prepared.
Finalization and Delivery: Once the Service Centre confirms the bus is ready, they will send an invoice and all required documents, including the completed PDI sheet. Crestline will then arrange the final delivery of the bus to you, the customer.
