Altoona Tested: Ensuring Safety, Durability, and Reliability for Forest River Buses

Altoona Testing is performed on Forest River bus models prior to being delivered to our customers. The vehicles go through a rigorous evaluation process overseen by the FTA to ensure the safety, durability, and reliability of transit vehicles, including buses and shuttles funded by the FTA. This testing is mandatory for FTA-funded vehicles and covers critical aspects such as structural integrity, braking performance, and overall operational reliability. The program is vital for identifying potential safety issues and improving vehicle longevity through comprehensive tests, including durability simulations. It also helps manufacturers like Forest River to refine their products, contributing to industry advancements and ensuring that transit agencies provide safe, dependable transportation solutions.

“When selling buses to our customers, it’s important to meet our customer’s needs in mind, but we must also consult with our Forest River partner, to ensure we provide a solution that has been through weight analysis and compliance reviews, and this has always been a strong point in our partnership. “ – Michael Harbec Senior Sales Consultant at Crestline
